Assalamu’alaikum
Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh,
May peace be upon us all.

His Majesty Carl XVI Gustaf, King of Sweden,
Distinguished dignitaries of the World Scout Foundation,
Distinguished Members of the Indonesian Scouting Movement,
Honourable Guests,
Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is a great pleasure and honour for me to welcome Your Majesty, the Honorary Chairman of World Scout Foundation, and the prominent members of the Foundation, to Indonesia. We are gathered here to witness the conferral of “Lencana Tunas Kencana” on His Majesty Carl XVI Gustaf for his dedication and contribution to the scoutingmovement.

As an Honorary Chairman of the World Scout Foundation, Your Majesty has proveny our leadership to empower scouting organizations throughout the world, including in Indonesia.The Foundation provides technical and financial assistance to scouting organizations far and wide, in order tocarry out activities and serve their families, communities, and countries.

And I am proud that Indonesia’s very own scout movement, Gerakan Pramuka Indonesia, has also been taking an active part in the Global “Messenger of PeaceInitiative” of the World Scout Foundation.

Through your life-long devotion to the scout movement, Your Majesty hasindeed captivated Lord Baden-Powell’s scouting soul, spirit, and values. Your Majesty’s dedication has been inspirational, not only to the scout movement in Sweden, but also to Gerakan PramukaIndonesia.

For Your Majesty’s meritorious efforts and contribution to Indonesian scouting, and on behalf of Gerakan PramukaIndonesia, I have the honour to confer on Your Majesty the highest decoration of Gerakan PramukaIndonesia, “Lencana Tunas Kencana.”

Finally, let us continue spreading the message of peace, and follow the exemplary works of Your Majesty to the scouting movement.
